everythings going to b. alright

the rain keeps pouring, and pouring, and pouring..

i knew vancouver was rainy, so this doesnt surprise me in the slightest. but theres something about the constant essence of "grey" that makes you want to retire with a cup of coffee at your favorite cafe on a saturday in an oversize sweater, sweats, and toque, writing about exactly how you feel at that moment in time. welcome to my life.

last night was friday, i finally got a chance to go out, and enjoy some drinks and amazing food at cactus club with mark. he is the hardest working person i know, and definately deserved a night to kick back and relax. good times.

before i left i created a my own verison of a "bucket list", and though i've only been gone for a week i've already managed to tick off a couple of things, and am always adding to it! next week i have a sushi making course, and later in the week - a thai cooking class, mmm..

tonight, im going to take a small trek down to the bay and photograph the lights upon the ocean at sunset. will keep you posted with my shots.

everything is working out exactly how i had pictured it in my mind, i owe it to the law of attraction and my positive outlook thus far this year. i couldn't be more grateful for the amazing friends and family i have, and have kept in constant contact with -they matter most. you know who you are.

have a beautiful weekend, you all deserve it.
love you.

b. entranced.

hello loved ones,

i am writing to you from a local coffee shop, downtown vancouvers west end. it is day five of my soul search and i feel amazing. i look out the window and see english bay, the beach is within walking distance. the sun is just setting behind a cloud but theres a vibrant orange in the horizon just above the mountain peaks. i am in love.

i arrived early sunday morning, to an amazing boyfriend and clear skies ( believe it or not! ) hopped on the skytrain, canada line - and made our way to the house i will be staying in, a little nook - but the perfect location. spent the afternoon grocery shopping, catching up, and just enjoying the atmosphere. it didn't drop below 9 that night, what a treat!

monday i woke up early, made an amazing breakfast and walked mark halfway to school, conveniently halfway is "robson street" ..shopping district. i knew i needed to check out urban outfitters, plenty, zara, ect.. bought some essentials, a rainjacket, running shoes, another pair of shoes.. that's it. i swear..

the sun shone bright that afternoon, i decided to take the whole 2 minute walk down to the beach with my nikon and photograph the scenery. beauty.

tuesday was baking day, incase you were unaware i am attepmting to bake my way through martha stewarts cupcake book. 9 recipies down, 141 to go..?

after spending the morning in a used bookstore on davie street, i left and decided to pick a recipie, tiramusu. this recipie was tough stuff, martha. it called for all sorts of ingredients i had never even heard of. took a walk to the market, picked those up. spent 45 minutes in bc liqour hunting for a specific type of sherry for the damn cupcake. needless to say, they turned out excellent.

wednesday i woke up at eleven, to the smell of fresh rain. i love that smell, it makes me want to stay in bed all day. took it easy for the most part in the afternoon. in the evening, my italian cooking class at "dirty apron" cooking school. i was very, very excited. so excited that i didnt realize it only took 15 minutes to get there, and i left 1hr and a half early. conveniently enough, marks school was 2 blocks from there, so we met for lunch.

i learned to make goat cheese sage stuffed ravioli from scratch, grill the perfect lamb sirloin, prepare handmade gnocchi with ricotta cheese, shallots, and garlic, and whip up lemon panna cotta with raspberry puree for dessert! yum! most people ate theres up right away, but i have a starving student boyfriend at home who benifited from mine.

today is thursday, one of my favorite days of the week.

i am in love with vancouver. the air is pure, the visuals are fascinating, and the people smile almost as much as i do. i can't wait to see what the future holds.

lets make history with love,

xo beth.

b. fearless

sunday, my favorite day of the week.

..there is just something about sunday's that make me feel calm and collected. it could be the ritual - a.m. personal coffee time, skype dates with my boyfriend, or the fact that i can spend the entire day relaxing, and not have to worry about work, or anything else for that matter.

one week from today, i will be living in vancouver. i came to this spontaneous descision a little while ago, shortly after i wrote the blog "ch-ch-changes"

it's time for me to break out of my shell, and focus on lifes simple pleasures.

yoga in the park, volunteering, photography, baking, cooking classes, olympics, fresh mountain air, cool ocean breeze.

i will be on a "happiness hiatus" from end of jan, until mid march.

if any of you would like to stay posted with whatsup, find me on here! i will post often with photos, and updates!

xo, from the bottom of my heart. B

hey, ch-ch-changes.

The fear of change will stop you if you let it, but if you really want something you'll go out and get it. Yes, no doubt - easier said than done, but to initiate change? Your the only one.

Fear holds us back from our true potential, to let go of our worries is whats essential. When your unhappy you begin to realize, its defiantley the time to shed the disguise.

What the hell are we waiting for? Life is full of open doors.

Excuses can be made in the back of your mind, and you can keep on going with the daily grind, But sticking to routine will get you nowhere, and I dont know about you, but im ready for a scare.
